The implication: these results set the stage for a crowded SummerSlam title picture, with Rhodes and Cena both occupying central roles.

The pattern: WWE optimized the start time to maximize viewership across multiple continents, particularly Asia.

How to watch WWE Night of Champions 2025

Is Night of Champions on Netflix?

Yes, but with a catch. The SmackDown Hotel reports that the event streamed on Netflix internationally, while U.S. viewers watched on Peacock. This marks the first WWE pay-per-view to appear on Netflix as part of the streaming giant’s deal with WWE.

Where can I watch the event live?

  • United States: Peacock (traditional PPV also available via cable providers)
  • International: Netflix (select regions)
  • WWE Network: Still available via cable and satellite in some markets

What devices support Netflix live streaming?

Netflix live streaming is supported on smart TVs, smartphones (iOS/Android), tablets, streaming devices (Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV), and web browsers. Ensure your app is updated to the latest version for live playback.

Why this matters

For cord-cutters, the Netflix stream eliminates the need for a cable subscription — but only if you’re outside the U.S. American fans still need Peacock, a separate subscription. The split streaming strategy fragments the audience but gives WWE broader reach globally.

The catch: while Netflix expands international access, domestic viewers face an additional subscription cost.

Bottom line: Every title match ended with a transition or a controversial retention. The only non-title singles match (Zayn vs. Kross) was a clear win for Zayn, solidifying his mid-card push. The King and Queen of the Ring finals were both won by rising stars, signaling a youth movement.

The implication: the youthful winners of the tournaments position WWE for a new generation of main-event talent heading into SummerSlam.

Night of Champions 2025 tickets and schedule

How to buy tickets for Night of Champions 2025?

Tickets went on sale in May 2025 via the WWE website and Ticketmaster.

What are the ticket prices?

Prices ranged from $50 to $500 depending on seating, according to the content plan from official sources. Secondary market prices may have varied.

What is the event schedule for the weekend?

The event was a single-night show on June 28, 2025. There were no weekend-long activities announced beyond the night itself.

The catch

Secondary market prices for the Riyadh event could climb significantly. Fans planning to buy resale tickets should verify authenticity via Ticketmaster’s official resale platform to avoid scams.

What this means: the compressed lead time may have left some fans scrambling for last-minute resale options.

Timeline: Key dates leading to Night of Champions 2025

  • May 10, 2025: WWE announces Night of Champions 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (WWE)
  • May 2025: Tickets go on sale; match card begins to form
  • June 28, 2025: Event takes place at Mohammed Abdo Arena, Riyadh (WWE)
  • June 28, 2025 (post-event): Full results published on WWE.com and Wikipedia
Bottom line: From announcement to event, the lead time was just 49 days — a compressed schedule that meant matches were built quickly on TV. The short build didn’t hurt the card’s depth, but it may have affected ticket sales momentum.

The pattern: a rapid campaign suited a single-night spectacle but limited long-term fan anticipation.

Perspectives from the ring

Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton in the King of the Ring final at Night of Champions 2025, earning a future championship match.

— WWE.com official results page

Seth Rollins and allies interfered in the main event before Cena pinned Punk.

— CBS Sports

The event was part of WWE’s Night of Champions series and also included the King and Queen of the Ring tournament finals.

— The SmackDown Hotel

Solo Sikoa’s United States Championship win came after a shocking debut and an unexpected return in the match.

— Bleacher Report

The implication: Night of Champions 2025 wasn’t just a standalone show — it was a spring-loaded storytelling device. Cody Rhodes’s King of the Ring victory gives him a clear path to SummerSlam, while the interference-heavy main event leaves John Cena’s title reign hanging by a thread. For WWE, the Netflix streaming debut opens a new revenue channel, but the U.S.-restricted Peacock deal may frustrate some domestic fans. For the Saudi Arabian market, the event cements Riyadh as a key PPV destination. The trade-off: shorter build yielded a tighter card, but left ticket pricing opaque for casual attendees.
